RELEASE OF LIABILITY, ASSUMPTION OF RISK, AND HOLD HARMLESS AGREEMENTI understand and acknowledge that participation in equine activities involves inherent risks that cannot be eliminated regardless of the care taken to avoid injuries. Such risks include, but are not limited to, the propensity of equines to behave in ways that may result in injury, harm, or death; the unpredictability of an equine's reaction to sounds, sudden movement, unfamiliar objects, persons, or other animals; hazards such as surface and subsurface conditions; collisions with other equines, animals, persons, or objects; equipment failure; and the potential negligence of other participants.By voluntarily participating in these activities, I knowingly and freely assume all risks, both known and unknown, even if arising from the negligence of the Released Parties, to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law.In consideration of being permitted to participate in any activity sponsored, organized, or conducted by Scio Buckaroos, I, for myself and on behalf of my heirs, assigns, personal representatives, and next of kin, hereby release, waive, discharge, covenant not to sue, and hold harmless Scio Buckaroos, its officers, directors, members, volunteers, sponsors, event officials, employees, agents, landowners, arena owners, affiliates, and any other persons or entities associated with the event (collectively, the "Released Parties") from any and all claims, liabilities, demands, actions, damages, losses, costs, attorney fees, expenses, or causes of action arising out of or relating to any injury, disability, death, property damage, or other loss sustained as a result of my participation in equine activities, whether arising from the ordinary negligence of the Released Parties or otherwise, to the fullest extent permitted by Oregon law.I agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the Released Parties from and against any and all claims, demands, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, or expenses, including reasonable attorney fees, arising out of or related to my participation or the participation of any minor for whom I am legally responsible.I acknowledge that I have carefully read this Release of Liability, Assumption of Risk, and Hold Harmless Agreement, fully understand its terms, understand that I am giving up substantial legal rights.
