High Intermediate - August 8 - 9 (Saturday - Sunday)

Novice and Low Intermediate - August 10 - 12 (Monday - Wednesday)

Open - August 12 (Wednesday)

NOVICE

You understand the basic rules and are starting to focus on improving your game. Your serves are getting deeper, and you’re learning how to keep your dinks lower and more controlled. You can hit a few dinks in a row and are getting more comfortable using your backhand. You’re experimenting with adding power or touch to your shots and trying to move up to the non-volley zone more often.

LOW INTERMEDIATE

You have a solid grasp of the rules, including kitchen faults and foot faults. Your serves and returns are usually deep, and you’re starting to attempt third-shot drop shots. You think strategically about shot placement and have a growing variety of shots, though they aren’t always consistent. You communicate with your partner and work as a team but may still struggle with positioning at times.

HIGH INTERMEDIATE

You can anticipate your opponents’ shots and use strategy to set up points. You finish points when given the chance and are consistent with your drop shots and dinks. You move to the kitchen line quickly and play well at the net. You can work with a partner to cover the court and stay patient, waiting for the right opportunity to attack.

OPEN (NON-GENDER)

You are a top-caliber pickleball player who consistently performs at an elite level. Your tournament results, championship finishes, and overall competitive performance demonstrate your ability to compete against the strongest players. This division represents the highest standard of play and is designed for players who consistently perform at the top of the sport.

In consideration of being permitted to participate in The Dink Loft Open 2026 which will be held on August 8-12, 2026 at The Dink Loft, Marikina City, I, the participant, agree to the following:

Acknowledgment of Risks: I understand that participating in a pickleball tournament involves physical activity and inherent risks, including but not limited to:

• Muscle strains, sprains, and other musculoskeletal injuries
• Falls and collisions with other players or objects
• Injuries from being struck by a pickleball or paddle
• Cardiovascular events
• Heat-related illnesses
• Other injuries, illnesses, or accidents

Assumption of Risks: I freely and voluntarily assume all risks associated with participating in the Tournament, both known and unknown, even if arising from the negligence of the Released Parties (as defined below).

Release of Liability: I hereby release, waive, discharge, and covenant not to sue the following parties:

• Any sponsors, volunteers, officials, organizers, agents, employees, and representatives of the "The Dink Loft Open 2026"
• This release extends to any and all claims, demands, liabilities, actions, and causes of action whatsoever arising out of or related to my participation in the Tournament, including but not limited to any claims for:
• Personal injury (including death)
• Property damage or loss
• Economic loss

Indemnification: I agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Released Parties from any and all claims, demands, liabilities, actions, and causes of action, including attorneys' fees, arising out of or related to my participation in the Tournament, including but not limited to claims made by third parties as a result of my actions or inactions.

Medical Treatment: I authorize the Tournament organizers to seek and administer emergency medical treatment on my behalf if necessary. I agree to be responsible for all costs associated with such treatment.

Severability: If any provision of this Waiver and Release is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

Entire Agreement: This Waiver and Release constitutes the entire agreement between the parties and supersedes any prior oral or written agreements or understandings.
