    RULES & REGULATIONS:

    Competitors/ Participants at any event run by PHSSA have a responsibility to ensure the welfare and at all times treat their horses humanely and with dignity, respect & compassion.
    Competitors/ Participants are to conduct themselves in a professional manner and act with integrity in all dealings with PHSSA and other competitors and uphold the Rules & Regulations of PHSSA & AQHA at all times.
    NO alcohol is allowed in, or can be consumed un marshalling areas, working arenas or show pen/contest areas.
    The show is open to all breeds and held under AQHA rules.
    On the day of the show, 1 hour prior to commencement and 1 hour after cessation of the show there will be no training equipment allowed in the marshalling area or arena.
    Exhibitors shall not approach the judge for any reason prior to completion of the judging, unless the exhibitor has finished exhibiting and request must be made through the ring steward. No exhibitor will request information or question decisions made by the judge on the day or 7days following.
    Marshalling area is strictly competitors only, One person is allowed to assist.
    Once show is in progress competitors only allowed in Arena.
    Show Management reserve the right to alter the order of events before or during the show.
    Dress regulations: Hat/Helmet, long western style pants, safe enclosed footwear and a shirt with sleeves must be worn.


    ENTRIES:
    Pre-Entry by the due date or $25 late fee applies.
    Entries will not be accepted unless accompanied by full payment, all registration and membership numbers.
    NO REFUNDS WILL BE GIVEN unless withdrawal is accompanied by a veterinary or medical certificate.


    RISKS:
    All persons enter the show grounds at own risk.
    Approved safety helmets must be worn at all times.
    Show management & property owner will take no responsibility for loss or damage to any stock, equipment or personal property.
    All dogs must be restrained/ on leashes at all times. NO dogs allowed in marshalling area or arena.


    YOUTH:
    All youth competing or taking part in the event must have written permission and entry form signed by their parent/guardian to be a contestant or participant. All youth at a PHSSA event if competing or attending must be in the care of a responsible adult at all times. Youth in walk/jog rider 5-10 years can NOT go in any other ridden classes.
    Youth must be 18yrs of age and under as of August 1st 2025.
    Youth are not permitted to ride or handle Stallions or Colts at any event

    NOVICE AMATEUR OWNER/ AMATEUR/ SELECT/ MASTERS AMATEUR-
    Current Novice A/O, Amateur, Select or Masters Amateur permit must be presented at the request of Show Management.


    NUMBERS- Must be clearly displayed to be eligible to compete. Display number on your back or each side of the saddle.

    DON’T FORGET TO CLEAN UP AFTER YOU AND YOUR HORSE & HAPPY SHOWING!! 😊 

    I have read and understand all Rules & Regulations and hereby agree to abide by them at all times. I hereby release Paint Horse Society of South Australia Inc., the property owner & Show Management from any claim or loss, injury or damage to any person, livestock or equipment whatsoever.

     

    This is an "A" Show run under PHAA rules ,no points will be submitted by the PHSSA committee,however competitiors are welcome to bring their own points form to be signed at the show.

  • In consideration for being permitted to participate in any way in horse riding activities I the undersigned, understand, acknowledge and accept that:

    • Horse riding and participation in horse related activities is/are dangerous recreational activities and horses and cattle can act in a sudden and unpredictable (changeable) way, especially if frightened or hurt.
    • There is significant risk that serious INJURY or DEATH may result from participating in horse related competition or activities.
    • I voluntarily PARTICIPATE at my OWN RISK and assume sole responsibility for any injury, death or property damage I may suffer that arises from my participation in horse related activities.
    • I understand and acknowledge the dangers associated with the consumption of alcohol or any mind altering drugs before and during the activity and I take full responsibility for any injury, loss or damage associated with their consumption. I agree not to drink alcohol or take drugs prohibited by law before or during any horse activity.
    • I agree to abide by the Rules & Regulations of the Paint Horse Association of Australia and the Paint Horse Society of South Australia, its affiliated clubs and/or management/organizer of the activities and that I will follow all directions of the management/organizer of the activities.
    • My failure or refusal to do so can result in my immediate disqualification from the activities and the forfeiting of all fees paid in relation to the activities.
    • RHASA, its affiliated clubs and/or the Management/organizer takes due care to ensure that the venues chosen are safe and suitable, any equipment provided for the purpose of such activities is maintained in good condition and the Association’s/management/organizer’s staff are appropriately trained.
    • I further confirm that I am in good health and do not suffer from any disability which will affect my ability to participate. I have had sufficient opportunity to read this document, fully understand its terms and sign it freely and voluntarily without inducement of any kind.
    • In case of emergency I do hereby give my consent for medical treatment to be given by a Doctor and/or  Hospital staff, and I Agree to pay all costs associated with emergency transport and treatment should  an accident occur during activities conducted by RHASA.
