    To qualify you must be able to answer ‘Yes’ to both of the questions below
  • Are you a British citizen, Commonwealth citizen, or EU citizen?*
  • Are you 18 years of age or over?*

  • In addition you mut be able to answer 'yes' to at least one of the questions below.
  • Are you on the electoral register for Shawbury?*
  • Have you lived in Shawbury or within 3 miles of its boundary for at least 1 year?*
  • Have you been the owner or tenant of land in Shawbury for at least 1 year?*
  • Is your main place of work in Shawbury and has it been for at least 1 year?*

    You must be able to answer 'no' to the three questions below to be eligible to serve as a councillor
