This is a volunteer position for current college students and recent alumni.
Adjudication Assistant Job Overview: The NCTC High School Play Festival is an exciting celebration of student achievement in theatre. NCTC produces 8 Regional Play Festivals each fall, with two adjudicators providing feedback at each event. Adjudication assistants help these judges keep the adjudication documents organized and maintain official digital records for the NCTC office. This is a great opportunity to learn about an aspect of the Play Festival that is rarely seen. You will learn how the process works, learn how to prepare future students for the Festival, and learn what it takes to successfully judge theatrical events.
Schedule: Regional High School Play Festivals will take place on October 30-31 and November 6-7. Adjudication Assistants must be present for the entire Festival (both days). You will need to arrive by 8:00am each day. On day one, you will be finished by 7:30pm. On day two, the awards ceremony will conclude by 9:30pm. Lunch will be provided both days, and dinner will be provided on the second day. You will not be able to leave the Festival site until the end of each day.
Upon submitting your application, please hold the Festival dates you indicated your availability for until you hear from the NCTC office. We plan to confirm all adjudication assistants by early October and will follow-up with all applicants.
