    • I authorize the release of my Drivers Abstract to the RDPSD and/or its Insurance Agents
    • I agree to drive safely in accordance with the requirements of the Highway Traffic Act and City Traffic Bylaws
    • I will advise the school Principal of any related vehicle accidents, suspensions of my license, or status of my insurance coverage that may occur after the date of this authorization, while it is still in force (School year)
    • If driving a division owned vehicle, I am aware of the responsibilities as established in the “Drivers Vehicle Package”
    • I agree to limit the number of passengers to the number of seatbelts installed
    • I will enforce the use of seatbelts in the vehicle
    • I will comply with the directions of teachers/agents of Red Deer Public Schools
    • I agree to be responsible for all vehicle violation tickets incurred while drivign for RDPSD

  • Board Insurance Coverage: The board provides automobile liability insurance coverage only in excess of the $2 million or higher coverage provided by the vehicle owner when private vehicles are used to transport students for school-sponsored activities.

    The private vehicles coverage will be applied before the Board coverage insurance. Any damage to the private vehicle is not insured by or the responsibility of the board.


    Volunteer Drivers: Your insurance company must be informed of your intent to use a personal vehicle to transport students for school-sponsored events, and whether you will be compensated or reimbursed.
