The Borough of Glassboro is proud to present the Art Walk & Night Market on Saturday, October 3rd from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m., which will stretch down the Art Mile along High Street from Mick Drive to Academy Street. This artistic celebration will feature several practicing artists and creatives from across the Delaware Valley. The Art Walk & Night Market returns for its second year as a free public event celebrating and highlighting Glassboro’s artistic history and legacy.
This year, the Glassboro Art Walk & Night Market will highlight 5 Featured Artists along the Artist's Row.
What artists will be asked to provide:
- 10 x 10 ft tent to cover space
- Table & Chairs
- Display mechanisms needed to display art
- Point of Sales system (if selling displayed pieces)
What Glassboro will provide to artists:
- Featured 10 x 10 event space in the Artists Row
- Dedicated staff member to assist artists during the event
- Opportunity to sell art to event attendees
- Social media marketing to highlight your attendance at the event
Please follow the submission guidelines below to be officially considered for this opportunity:
You must be 18 years of age or older to submit. Submission to be an Featured Artist does not guarantee an acceptance. All submissions will be reviewed by the Glassboro Art Walk & Night Market Committee. Submissions will close by August 14st, and artists will be notified of the committee’s decision by September 2nd.
Please upload photos of 3 to 5 pieces of work. The committee is looking for detailed photos of each piece (minimum of 5 photos, maximum of 10) showcasing details, dimensionality and scale of the works. Below, please label each piece. Additionally, please attach a 1-page Artistic Statement.
If selected, the Borough of Glassboro will utilize submitted photos of personal work in order to promote the event on the Borough's website and social media, with credit to each artist in the captions and/or descriptions.
