Help Build the Future of Taos Ski Valley: The Village of Taos Ski Valley is a small, ambitious mountain municipality working to become a stronger four-season community.
We are exploring the creation of a position that would help the Village develop community events, recreation opportunities, visitor services, tourism marketing, public spaces, trail initiatives, and partnerships with local businesses and community organizations.
This is not intended to be a traditional desk-only government position. We are looking for someone who is creative, organized, collaborative, comfortable taking initiative, and excited about building programs from the ground up.
The final title and responsibilities may be shaped around the experience and strengths of the successful candidate.
Applicants may express interest in one or more of three areas:
- Events and Marketing (think summer music festivals, races, beer fests, etc.)
- Parks, Recreation and Visitor Experience (think trail system development, beautification efforts, outdoor recreation programming etc.)
- A combined position covering both areas
Please note that this is an exploratory recruitment. Final position authorization, title, responsibilities, compensation, classification, and hiring are subject to approval by the Village Governing Body and future budget action.
Depending on experience and qualifications this role would be in the range of $55k-$85k with full benefits and flexible schdule!
