GB Potatoes is asking growers to complete this short survey to help build an up-to-date picture of the ware potato area planted in 2026.
Last year, we estimated that between 97,000 and 103,000 hectares of potatoes were grown in Great Britain. We now want to understand how this has changed in 2026. With a strong response rate, we plan to publish a planted area figure in late August.
The information gathered will help us better understand the overall position of the GB potato sector and support our work in representing the industry to government, supply chain partners and other key stakeholders.
The survey should only take a few minutes to complete. All responses will be treated in confidence and reported only in aggregate. We are not asking for an hectarage of seed potatoes. All the questions relate to your planted ware potato area.
