Eligibility
Artists must reside within 300 km of the Ravensthorpe Shire.
The 2026 exhibition theme is Seasons, inspired by changing seasons, weather, landscapes, farming, sunsets and wildflowers.
Artwork Requirements
A maximum of three (3) artworks may be entered per artist.
Artworks must be delivered to The Fitz Gallery on Monday 31 August 2026, between 11.00 am and 3.00 pm, unless prior arrangements have been approved.
Late entries will not be accepted.
All artworks must:Be the original work of the exhibiting artist.
Have been completed within the last 12 months.
Not have been previously exhibited or received an award in another competition.
Not have been published on social media prior to the exhibition opening.
Be clearly labelled and priced.
Be submitted with a completed entry form.
Artwork Presentation
Works on paper must be professionally framed.
There is no size limit.
All hanging artworks must be exhibition-ready with D-rings attached.
Sculptures and three-dimensional works must be sturdy and suitable for display throughout the exhibition.
All artworks must be suitable for public viewing by all age groups.
Photography & Copyright
By entering the exhibition, artists grant The Fitz Gallery (Ravensthorpe District Art Group Inc.) permission to photograph submitted artworks for promotional, marketing and publicity purposes.
Judging
Entries will be judged by an independent professional judge.
The judge's decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.
The judge will determine all award winners except the People's Choice Award, which will be decided by public vote.
Entry Fees & Commission
Please Note: The Fitz Gallery's 2025/2026 annual membership program was not offered. If you normally renew your membership around exhibition time, please note that there is no membership option or discounted entry fee available for the 2026 Annual Community Art Exhibition. A flat $35 entry fee per artwork applies to all entries.
Entry fees are non-refundable.
Payment is required upon submission of artworks.
Electronic payment is preferred (cash is discouraged).
Artists will receive 80% commission on the sale of their artwork. The remaining 20% commission will be retained by The Fitz Gallery to assist with exhibition administration and running costs.
Exhibition Dates
Opening Night: Friday 4 September 2026, 6.00 pm
Exhibition: 7–19 September 2026, open daily from 9.00 am – 4.00 pm
Collection of Artwork
All artworks, whether sold or unsold, must be collected from The Fitz Gallery on Saturday 19 September 2026 from 12.00 pm onwards, unless prior arrangements have been made with the committee.
The Fitz Gallery accepts no responsibility for artworks not collected by the nominated collection time.
Any artwork left without prior arrangement may become the property of The Fitz Gallery, which reserves the right to sell, donate or otherwise dispose of uncollected works.
While every care will be taken in handling and storing artworks, The Fitz Gallery accepts no liability for any loss or damage to artworks awaiting collection.
