  • About New York Senate Bill S9546

New York Senate Bill S9546 proposes procedural protections for third-party sellers and seller profiles using online marketplaces.

The proposed legislation would require online marketplaces to provide sellers with:

    • A two-week warning period before an account suspension
    • Clear documentation and details regarding the alleged violations
    • An opportunity to respond, provide a defense, and correct the issue
    • A designated representative who can communicate directly with the seller
    • Acknowledgment and a reasonable response to an appeal within one week
    • Protection against the holding or seizure of funds and inventory unrelated to the alleged violation

Please review the proposed legislation and submit a letter explaining why these protections are important to you, your business, your employees, and your family.
