ABOUT WESTCHESTER BALLET COMPANY
Westchester Ballet Company is a 75-year-old nonprofit charitable organization with the mission of creating professional-level performance opportunities for young dancers and for providing affordable access to the arts in our community.
Company auditions are open to all dancers, aged 6-18, no matter where they receive their dance instruction, as long as they meet the training requirements set by the Company.
Dancing with the Company requires that a dancer be enrolled in a requisite level and number of weekly ballet classes at the school of the dancer's choosing and that they attend all required Westchester Ballet Company rehearsals for the roles in which they are cast. Participation fees apply. Details regarding requirements and fees are outlined in the Audition Guide. Dancers may apply for financial assistance once they have been invited into the Company.
Merit Scholarship Opportunities
First-time participants are eligible for scholarship awards based on their audition results. Awards can be applied to WBC Nutcracker participation fees or to ballet classes at the school of the recipient's choosing.
All dancers may apply for need-based financial assistance once they have been invited into the Company.
