Race to End Duchenne is Parent Project Muscular Dystrophy’s signature program that raises funds to support our mission to end Duchenne muscular dystrophy, a fatal genetic disorder that slowly robs people of their muscle strength. Those with Duchenne are truly in a race against time as their muscles deteriorate further each day.

PPMD is thrilled to be an Official Charity Partner of the 2027 Bank of America Chicago Marathon. If you would like to join our team, please fill out the application below. Due to the high fundraising commitment for this race ($3,500 per entry) and the demand for entries, we can only accept those runners who can commit to raising (or exceeding) the full amount. If you have any questions about the race or about joining our team, please email natalie@parentprojectmd.org. We will notify applicants of their acceptance on a rolling basis until our entries have been filled.

In joining the Race to End Duchenne team, you are committing to raise funds for Parent Project Muscular Dystrophy. The fundraising minimum is now $3,500. We will provide you with a customizable fundraising page to make the process as easy for you as we can. However, it is up to you to raise or exceed the $3,500 whether you participate or not. Entries are non-refundable, non-transferable and may not be deferred to future years.
