Independent Production Fund in association with Blue Prairie Productions Application Form - Atlantic

The IPF Pre-Application Training Program for Atlantic Producers is an intensive project
development program for independent producers based in Newfoundland & Labrador,
New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island, to improve their applications
and success rates when applying for development funding for a Short Form Series.

The program will run as a precursor to the IPF Short Form Series Development program in association with the Independent Production Fund (IPF), PictureNL, Media NB and Innovation PEI. Application deadline is August 19, 2026 by 11:59pmCT.

Only complete applications will be considered. Attachments must be uploaded to the application form as ONE PDF file.

Producer participant must agree to be fully available for the program. Online training sessions take place once a week. Attendance is required to maximize the full benefit of the program. Most, but not all, sessions are recorded and made available for review. Attendance in person for all sessions is highly recommended.
IIndependent Production Fund (IPF), PictureNL, Media NB, Innovation PEI and Blue Prairie Productions are not responsible for any copyright or legal issues pertaining to the project or the applicant.
If selected, the participant grants to Independent Production Fund (IPF), PictureNL, Media NB, Innovation PEI. and Blue Prairie Productions the right to utilize materials related to the project for promotional purposes in all mediums, including broadcast, print and internet.
Participants must be Canadian citizens or permanent residents, residing in either Newfoundland & Labrador, New Brunswick, and Prince Edward Island, and over the age of 18.

August 6 – Call for submissions.
August 19 – Deadline for submissions.
September 3 – Participants announced.
September 10 – Program Overview Session (workshops kickoff).
September 10 – December 15 – Online workshop sessions.
September 10 – December 15 – Story Editors and/or Development Execs identified and matched.
January – February 2027 – Program participants finalize their applications and work with Mentors.
March 1, 2027 – Deadline to submit to the IPF Short Form Series Development Program.
