CLE UNITS (Continuing Legal Education)

ICPHSO hopes to include a number of sessions in the 2027 Symposium program that will be accreditable for attendees seeking CLE units (Continuing Legal Education).

If your proposal is selected for development, and it meets the standards to be offered as a CLE session, your session will provide up to 1 CLE unit.

Continuing Legal Education can cover a broad range of topics. However, if you would like to your session to be CLE accredited, its content must directly contribute to the professional competency of lawyers and have significant intellectual or practical content related to the development or practice of law. The content has to be specifically created by lawyers.

If you would like your proposed session to be CLE accredited, then include in your session description: 1) the learning objectives, and 2) the learning outcomes your proposed session provides specifically for lawyers.

Keep in mind that if your proposal is selected for development (and will be CLE accreditable), your anticipated audience will still include symposium attendees who are not in the legal profession.
I would like to my proposed session to be considered for CLE Accreditation (if selected for development for the 2027 Annual Symposium program) - and have included both the legal learning objectives and learning outcomes in my synopsis.

Proposed Moderator, Speakers and Roundtable Facilitators

Provide the names of your proposed moderator, speakers or roundtable facilitator, together with their affiliations. While the ICPHSO Planning Chair and Executive Committee must approve all proposed moderator and speaker suggestions, ideally you will have approached any proposed moderator and speakers on a tentative basis before providing their names below. No speaker confirmations should be made until you receive approval from the Planning Chair.

As a reminder, ICPHSO supports diversity and inclusion in all forms. This includes ensuring differing product safety stakeholder points of view and perspectives.

Where you may have business or industry speakers on a panel, it's important to balance that perspective with consumer, parent advocacy, academia, and/or regulator points of view, so that different perspectives will always be offered during the sessions.

While speaker names at this stage are not required, proposals that include a speaker list are favored during the review process. Please refer to the Speaker List for individuals who have expressed interest in moderating or speaking at future sessions.
Proposed Speaker Names and Affiliations: Panels are limited to 3 speakers and 1 moderator. Inform your proposed speakers that their names are included here but do not commit them to speaking roles until your speaker list is approved by the ICPHSO committee.
