Thank you for your interest in being part of LOCnificent 2026. LOCnificent is a Brooklyn-born cultural platform celebrating locs, natural hair, and the global African diaspora. We are looking for individuals with locs and natural hair of all textures, lengths, and styles to participate in one or both of the following opportunities:

Editorial Photo Shoot — Saturday, September 19, 2026 | Brooklyn, NY (exact location shared upon confirmation).
Natural Hair and Loc Showcase / Hair Show — Sunday, October 18, 2026 | Atolye NYC, 236B 6th Street, Brooklyn, NY | 2PM–9PM.

Space is limited. All applicants are individually reviewed and contacted with next steps upon selection and availability.

About This Shoot — LOCnificent is a Brooklyn-born cultural platform celebrating locs, natural hair, and the global African diaspora. Now in its 8th year, LOCnificent produces high-energy, community-driven experiences that sit at the intersection of culture, commerce, and connection. This editorial photo shoot is part of the lead-up to LOCnificent 2026: ELEVATED — our flagship event on Sunday, October 18, 2026 at Atolye NYC, Brooklyn. Selected participants will receive professional photos for personal use. In return, we ask that you be willing to create and share content that spotlights LOCnificent and the upcoming event. This is a community marketing activation — your crown, your story, your platform.
