Thank you for your interest in forming your child in the Catholic faith! We are honored to partner with you in your sacred vocation as the primary educators of your children. As Vatican II reminds us, parents are the "interpreters of [God's] love" to their children and the world (Gaudium et Spes, 50). The Catechism beautifully adds that the home is the "first school of Christian life" (CCC 1657), making your role irreplaceable (CCC 2221). Through this beautiful mission, the Church recognizes the family as the "Domestic Church." As Lumen Gentium emphasizes, "In it parents should, by their word and example, be the first preachers of the faith to their children" (No. 11). Our Family Catechesis program is designed to support you in this high calling, helping your family live as a communion of persons—a visible sign and image of the Holy Trinity. This year, our focus is Christian prayer and its essential role in growing closer to God the Father, Jesus Christ the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Together, we will explore the dramatic covenant of prayer in Scripture. Families will discover the deep richness of the Our Father, the major expressions of prayer, and the beautiful example of the Virgin Mary.
To support your family, our Family Catechesis program (Grades K–5) blends parish community life with home learning through two monthly events:
-Monthly Parent Night: We gather to dive deeply into the monthly topic, equipping you with the tools you need to guide your child. Parent nights will always take place on the 1st Tuesday of the month following the 6pm Mass. Childcare and dinner provided.
-Monthly Community Night: A fun gathering where children build friendships, families support one another in faith, and we explore the sacraments and prayer together.
-At-Home Learning: You teach your children at home, weaving lessons naturally into the rhythm of your unique lifestyle. We provide all the books and supplies to make this easy for you.
