AMPAF was created in loving memory of Andrea Mychaels and honors her lifelong commitment and dedication to the arts by providing scholarships and financial support to emerging performing artists. Through our fundraising efforts, we aim to empower aspiring artists with the resources they need to pursue their arts education and training. Inspired by Andrea's passion for the arts, we are dedicated to ensuring that emerging artists have opportunities to learn, grow, and thrive in the performing arts arena. AMPAF is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
Scholarship Award Information
1. AMPAF is awarding $250 dance education scholarships to emerging dancers.
2. Nominations must be submitted by Studio Owner, Director, or Dance Teacher.
3. Scholarship funds will be issued and mailed to the dancer's home studio.
4. Studio Owners/Directors will issue a credit in the full amount to the scholarship winner for the 2026-2027 dance year. Funds may be used toward tuition, competition fees, and summer intensive programs.
4. Scholarship winners will be proudly featured as an AMPAF award recipient on our website & social media platforms (along with previous award winners). Studio owners will need to provide a photograph of the award winner and a short dancer profile

AMPAF Dance Scholarship Nomination Criteria
1. Dancer is an emerging artist between the ages of 12-18 (senior in high school).
2. Dancer is registered for dance education classes for 2026/2027.
3. Dancer MUST regularly attend and participate in classes/rehearsals.
4. Dancer shows perseverance through challenges (physical, personal, or artistic).
4. Dancer MUST have a positive attitude, and MUST be respectful inside and outside of the studio.
5. Dance Video Submission: A video of the student dancing must be submitted as part of the application. The video may be from either a rehearsal or a performance and must not exceed 1 minute in length.
6. Photo of Dancer: A photo of the dancer must be submitted for announcement purposes.
