Apply now for the 5th annual HalloWEIRD outdoor art market centered around the theme: Halloween. Showcase your spooky, creepy, crawly, disturbing, goth pieces or focus on the upbeat, fun side of the season (costumes, hot cider, hay rides, autumn colors, etc). This is an outdoor, family-friendly, rain-or-shine event in the Mount Vernon Recreation Center fields adjoining Del Ray Artisans gallery at 2704 Mount Vernon Avenue, Alexandria, VA.

PLEASE NOTE: Dogs are not allowed on the Mount Vernon Recreation Center fields.

Artist Participation Fee

• Space Fee: $25 for Del Ray Artisans Members and $40 for non-members
• Plus 10% of sales

The Space Fee applies to all artists, plus 10% of total sales made during the market, which will be collected at the conclusion of your market day.

You must pay the space fee by the application deadline by check or credit card at the gallery or by credit card online. Artists not selected will be refunded the space fee. Cancellations after August 29, 2026 and no-shows will NOT be refunded.

Your Del Ray Artisans membership must be current to benefit from the member rate for the Space Fee. You may renew expired membership or join now to pay the member rate.

Entry Details

• Application and Space Fee are due by midnight on Sunday, August 9, 2026.
• Space fee is for a 10' x 10' space.
• Artists must provide their own tents, weights, and displays (including tables and chairs). IMPORTANT: Artists are required to use weights to secure their tent. Stakes are not allowed in the field.
• Artists must process their own sales.
• Because space is limited, vendor acceptance is at the discretion of the coordinators.
• All items for sale must be produced by the artist selling at the market, and we encourage items that fit the Halloween/Fall Season theme.
• This is a rain or shine event. You are expected to set up and stay for the entire 6 hours regardless of the weather.
• No electricity is provided.

Important Dates

• Deadline for Applications and Space Fee is Sunday, August 9, 2026 by midnight.
  
• Artists will be notified of acceptance by Sunday, August 16, 2026.
  
• Set-up is the morning of Saturday, September 12, 2026 starting at 8am. Artists must be fully set up and ready to sell by 10am in the Mount Vernon Recreation Center fields adjoining Del Ray Artisans gallery, 2704 Mount Vernon Avenue, Alexandria, VA 22301.
• The market is one day: Saturday, September 12, 2026 from 10am-4pm.
  
• Street parking is available. Artists may NOT park in the bank parking lot across the street.

Artwork Images

• You must provide up to three (3) files that represent the work you will be selling at the market.
• Acceptable file types are gif, jpg, jpeg, pdf, and png; up to 5MB in file size. Smart phone photos are acceptable.
• Please also include one (1) photo or sketch that shows your space set-up. Smart phone photos are acceptable.
• Your file names should begin with "YourLastName-FirstName".
• Permission to use any uploaded artwork image for Del Ray Artisans publicity and archival purposes is automatically granted by the artist as a requisite for entering the market.
