Season Information

Representative Basketball is a big commitment; the season runs from our trial dates starting in August/September through and finishing in the April School Holidays, with State Championships in April.

South Queensland Junior Basketball Championships (SQJBC)

The 2026 Boys’ and Girls’ SQJBC season will run in Term 1 2027. However, grading will take place in Term 4 2026. Teams will play their first official SQJBC game before the December/January school holidays, with the remainder of the season continuing after the holidays.
State Championships

2027 Boys State Champs will be held at Logan Basketball from the 1-4 April & Girls State Champs will be held in Toowoomba from the 7-10 April.

Costs

Season costs are approximately $1260 per player. This includes your rep pack, referee charges, training courts fees, and all game fees. You will still need to cover any other costs involved in travel to and from games or if your team decides to stay closer to the State Championships host venue.
