    This webinar, Moral Injury: Understanding the Invisible Wounds of Service, will explore what moral injury is, how it presents in first responder populations, and how it differs from PTSD and other trauma-related conditions. Participants will gain insight into the emotional, cognitive, and behavioural impacts of moral injury, as well as practical strategies to support individuals experiencing moral distress.

    Content will include:

    • Definitions and models of moral injury
    • Common causes in operational and organisational contexts
    • Signs and symptoms (including differences from PTSD)
    • The role of values, beliefs and emotions in moral injury
    • How to communicate with and support someone experiencing moral injury
    • Pathways to support and recovery

    This session is relevant for both clinicians and first responders, with a focus on practical, trauma-informed responses that can be applied in real-world settings.
