Please be aware that Wicked is generally recommended for audiences ages 8 and older. While there is no official MPAA rating for live stage productions, the show includes themes and moments that some families may find more appropriate for older children.

Topics and content may include:
• Fantasy violence and frightening scenes
• Emotional conflict and loss
• Discussions of prejudice, discrimination, and social injustice
• Political manipulation and abuse of power
• Mild romantic themes
• Occasional mature humor and dialogue

Parents and guardians are strongly encouraged to review the show's content before granting permission for their student to attend.

Participation in this field trip is a privilege. Students are expected to represent the Lowndes Middle School Music Department, Lowndes Middle School, and Lowndes County Schools with excellence both at school and while traveling.

The expectations below are designed to ensure that all students demonstrate responsible behavior and remain actively engaged in their music program. Students will be monitored throughout the school year, and parents/guardians will be notified if their student is at risk of becoming ineligible to attend the trip.

Students who do not meet these expectations will be ineligible to participate in the trip. 

To remain eligible for the trip, students must meet the following expectations:

• Follow all classroom and school rules and remain active participants in the music program.
• Not accumulate more than three (3) total days of In-School Suspension (ISS) and/or Out-of-School Suspension (OSS) for behavior-related incidents beginning September 7, 2026. This agreement takes effect on that date regardless of when a student registers for the trip.
• Not accumulate ten (10) or more days of bus suspension between September 7, 2026, and March 12, 2027.
• Not accumulate ten (10) or more absences or ten (10) or more unexcused tardies during the school year, as defined by school attendance records.
• Attend and actively participate in all required rehearsals for concerts and evaluations, all scheduled chorus concerts, and the Large Group Performance Evaluation/Festival in March.
• Maintain an average of at least a B in their music class.
• Not be failing more than one (1) academic class.
• All additional expectations outlined in the Lowndes County Schools Student Handbook and the Lowndes Middle School Student Handbook also apply and will be enforced.

The total cost ($150) of the Wicked Field Trip is due no later than Friday, October 23, 2026. Payments may be submitted at any time prior to the deadline. Students whose balance is not paid in full by the deadline may forfeit their reservation unless prior arrangements have been approved by the director.

Participation in this trip requires advance purchase of admission tickets and other reservations. As a result, all payments made toward this trip are non-refundable.

Neither Lowndes Middle School nor Lowndes County Schools assumes responsibility for reimbursing expenses related to a student's canceled trip, regardless of the reason for cancellation.

If a student becomes ineligible to participate due to failure to meet the requirements outlined in the Student Behavior Contract or is removed from the trip because of behavioral or disciplinary violations, no refund will be issued. This includes, but is not limited to, removal for violations of school rules, district policies, or the expectations outlined in the trip agreement.

By signing below, the student and parent/guardian acknowledge that they have read and understand these Payment Terms and Conditions. They agree to adhere to the established payment schedule and understand that all payments are final and non-refundable, including in the event of cancellation, student withdrawal, or removal from the trip due to behavioral or disciplinary reasons.
