  • Your learning agreement is like a customized syllabus for your internship and it is the first step in your registration process. Your academic advisor, faculty sponsor, and internship supervisor all need to sign off on this agreement before it is fully approved. If you have any questions, please email the Office of Experiential Learning.

  • Have you accepted an internship position with a site/ employer?*
  • To start the internship learning agreement process, you must have accepted an internship position. If you need help finding an internship, please connect with Morgan Buchanan, Internship Coordinator, at  morgan.buchanan@oswego.edu. You are able to save this form and come back to it later.

  • Have you spoken to your primary advisor about how internship credit will be utilized in your degree?*
  • Please consult with your primary academic advisor to confirm your eligibility and ensure your degree plan accommodates internship credit. Prior consultation is essential, as unverified coursework may impact your financial aid status and overall graduation timeline.

  • A Faculty Sponsor is a professor from your major. This person will support you in creating your learning objectives, assigning your academic assignments, and grading you for your experience. Some departments have a designated Faculty Sponsor, such as HSC, HDV, and PSY.

  • Have secured a Faculty Sponsor?*

  • Have you filled out the "Prior Felony Questionnaire" in myOswego?*
  • Complete the Prior Felony Questionnaire in MyOswego - use the link or log in to MyOswego and search “felony” once in the system.

  • Internship Learning Objectives

    Utilize your internship description and write at least three learning objectives that demonstrate what you want to accomplish during your internship. Some majors may require up to five; talk with your faculty sponsor for details. These should be in "SMART" format and should be Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Relevant, and Time Bound. Your faculty sponsor will review and approve them.
  • Example: By May 2027, I plan to illustrate two large posters to increase my company's visibility at major sporting events. I will utilize the feedback of my supervisor and previous knowledge from ART 307.
