Introduction

Crush It Crusade is building a grassroots movement that's people-powered, community-driven and relentlessly optimistic, proving that local action sparks collective impact that can lead to big change.

With continued support from Ball Corporation, Crush It Crusade provides funding, resources, and grantee best practice exchange to organizations to pilot and/or scale innovative solutions to improve recycling rates, volunteer engagement, consumer and attendee recycling education, and zero waste efforts in their local communities.

Grant awards will be prioritized for organizations that:

Are striving to expand recycling and zero waste efforts at established large public-facing community events, and/or for a comparably sized series of public-facing seasonal events (e.g. music, sports, cultural, food and arts festivals)
Demonstrate a strong commitment improving zero waste and recycling resources and capacity to sustain their program in future years
Demonstrate active volunteer engagement and prioritize attendee recycling awareness and education
Promote inclusive community outreach
