• Ride To The Edwardsville Criterium w/ BWorks | 4 p.m. Saturday, August 15

Earn-A-Bike and Learn-To-Ride alumni of all ages (parents/guardians welcome too!) are invited to join St. Louis BWorks staff and volunteers for a five-and-a-half-mile one-way adventure that will take us from an MCT trailhead through parts of the SIUE campus, across the stunning Yellowhammer connection to the Watershed, and then on to the heart of downtown Edwardsville to take in the Edwardsville Rotary Criterium!

We'll all meet with our bikes, helmets, locks and individual water supplies (plus a way to carry your individual supplies -- e.g. a small backpack or water bottle cage is great) at the trailhead adjacent to St. Paul United Church of Christ (3277 Bluff Rd) for a 4 p.m. Saturday, August 15, departure. The one-way group ride to the criterium, led by BWorks team members, will be about five and a half miles total, nearly all along MCT Trails. This should get us to downtown Edwardsville by about 5:15 p.m. to watch the bike races zipping around the heart of the city. Upon our arrival at the bike racks by the downtown Edwardsville MCT bus station (near Hillsboro and Main streets), caregivers and youth will reconnect to take in the event at their leisure and also ride back to the trailhead at their leisure (or arrange to have bikes transported from the bus station bike racks at your leisure). Since the races continue until late into the night, this way each family and crew member can decide themselves how long to stay after the conclusion of our group ride in the late afternoon.Questions about the event? Email evie@bworks.org. Big thanks to Great Rivers Greenway for partnering with BWorks to help us keep these adventures free to our bike-education graduates and family members! We’re excited to have their support for a wide range of alumni events we have planned for BWorks youth in 2026.
