  • Itinerary

    On the Saturday morning we will be launching our boats from the boat ramp at Ramco (10am with a plan to depart by 10:30), with the plan being to travel down stream (towards Cadel) and go into one of the smaller lagoon areas to have a nice quiet and scenic trip looking at some of the wonderful bird life that is in this area.  This will likely be about a 4 hour trip, so BYO lunch and snacks for the trip.  Some where about 12-12:30 we will find a nice spot to stop and have lunch either on the bank (if safe to get off the boats) or onboard the boats.   When we get back to Ramco, there will be plenty of time to look at the boats an have a good chat.   Potentially continue upstream for a little if others are keen.

    On Saturday Night we will have a small fire and dinner, either at the accommodation or by the river  (depending what those attending feel like)

    Sunday Morning for those that are keen for some more on water fun we can head up stream for a couple of hours and see what is up that part of the river and then return back to Ramco to pack up

     

     

  • Accommodation

    There is an option of renting a guest house at Ramco, there are a couple that are available to share on Air BnB.  Have a chat with the event manager as they may have booked theirs to share by the time this goes out.

     There is alto options for free camping at the Ramco camp area.  There is a public toilet there.  There have been some changes recently that prohibits camping near the boat ramp as we have previously done.  But there are plenty of good sites along the river.

    This event runs from Friday afternoon through to Sunday afternoon, please select from the list below which days you intend on attending. Please note some "Events" like dinners are at your own cost. More details on each activity are available from the Event Manager.

  •  Aditional Information

    WBASA insurances do not cover your boat or any damage it may cause.
    You are expected to have the appropriate insurance at the this WBASA event.

    Be mindful of new life jacket / PFD requirements now enforced by Marine Safety.

    A two way radio is very helpful at these events, the WBASA preferred is a UHF radio with channel 27 selected.
