FLYER REQUIREMENTS.
For safety and performance reasons, there is an upper weight guideline of 100kg.
Flying in a wind tunnel is governed by the principles of aerodynamics, and each individual’s ability to fly comfortably can vary depending on body shape, weight distribution, and airflow dynamics. While our instructors will always do their best to get everyone airborne, in some cases it may not be possible to achieve a stable flight. We approach this with sensitivity and professionalism at all times, and our priority is to ensure a safe and positive experience, so we kindly ask for your understanding that this is a matter of physics, not personal judgement, and we aim to avoid any discomfort or embarrassment for our guests.
If you are unsure about your suitability, please contact a member of the U-Fly team in advance, we will be happy to discuss your individual requirements and help you make an informed decision.
The U-Fly team reserve the right to refuse flight if we suspect that participants may be impaired due to alcohol or drugs.
While the recommended minimum age for indoor wind tunnel flying is 8 -10 years old, U-Fly understands that every child develops differently.
We are therefore happy to accept participants of any age, provided that a parent or legal guardian believes their child is physically and emotionally ready to take part and accepts responsibility for that decision.
Our instructors will always carry out a safety assessment before each flight. If, at any stage, we believe a participant is unable to safely take part or follow the required instructions, we reserve the right to postpone or cancel the flight in the interests of everyone's safety.
If you are considering bringing a younger child and would like to discuss whether the experience is suitable, please don't hesitate to contact us before booking and while there is no upper age limit, all participants should be in reasonable physical fitness to safely enjoy the activity.
You can read more about general health requirements on our booking and waiver forms.
