  • Eligibility

    • Eligible projects are fiction, animation, and documentary films over 60 minutes in length (short films are not eligible).

    • The director must be a citizen of a Southeast Asian country. The primary production company must also be registered in a SEA country (Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Timor-Leste (East Timor), Vietnam).

    • Directors must have made at least one feature film or two short films to be eligible. Animation applicants are allowed to apply with one previous short film.

    • A completed script is required for fiction and animation projects; treatment and research materials are acceptable for documentary projects if scripts are not available.

    • Projects must not have started principal photography to apply.
