Player Code of Conduct
For All Players and Coaches Participating in Our Organization
Our organization is committed to creating a positive, safe, and respectful environment for every athlete, coach, official, volunteer, and family member. Every player is expected to represent the organization with sportsmanship, integrity, and respect at all times.
1. Respect for Officials
Players must:
Treat all referees and game officials with respect before, during, and after games.
Accept calls and decisions without arguing, yelling, or using disrespectful language or gestures.
Never threaten, intimidate, or insult an official.
Allow coaches to communicate with officials when necessary.
Understand that officials are part of the game and deserve the same respect as players and coaches.
Unsportsmanlike behavior toward officials may result in:
Bench time
Removal from practice or games
Suspension
Additional disciplinary action determined by the organization
2. Respect for Coaches
Players must:
Listen to coaches and follow instructions during practices and games.
Show effort, teamwork, and a positive attitude.
Avoid arguing, talking back, or displaying disrespectful behavior.
Understand that coaches are volunteers or representatives working to help players improve and succeed.
Communicate respectfully if concerns arise.
3. Respect for Board Members & Volunteers
Players must:
Treat all board members, volunteers, and league representatives respectfully.
Follow organization rules, policies, and facility guidelines.
Understand that board members and volunteers donate their time to support the league and players.
4. Respect for Other Players
Players must:
Encourage teammates and demonstrate good sportsmanship.
Respect opponents before, during, and after competition.
Never bully, harass, threaten, or intentionally embarrass another player.
Avoid fighting, taunting, trash talking, or using inappropriate language.
Include and support teammates regardless of skill level.
5. Conduct at Practices, Games & Events
Players are expected to:
Arrive on time and prepared.
Respect all facilities, fields, equipment, and property.
Clean up after themselves on sidelines, benches, and fields.
Represent the organization positively on and off the field, including on social media.
Follow all safety rules and instructions.
6. Social Media & Public Behavior
Players may not:
Post inappropriate, disrespectful, threatening, or bullying content online.
Disrespect teammates, coaches, officials, or organization on social media.
Engage in behavior that damages the reputation of the organization.
7. Discipline Policy
Failure to follow this Code of Conduct may result in disciplinary action, including:
Verbal warning
Parent meeting
Suspension from practices or games
Removal from team activities
Dismissal from the organization
Discipline will be determined based on the severity and frequency of the behavior.
8. Commitment to Sportsmanship
By participating in this organization, players agree to:
Compete with integrity
Respect everyone involved in the game
Demonstrate teamwork and leadership
Help create a positive environment for all athletes
