  • Welcome to LOCnificent 2026!

    Are you a loctician, natural hair care professional, or barber and want to showcase your creative talent? LOCnificent is more than just vendor market and natural hair showcase—it’s a celebration of culture, community, and creativity. Our 100% indoor event offers a two-level experience with music, performances, and vibes that center locs, natural hair, and Black excellence.

    Hair showcase, styling, and demonstration slots are limited and highly curated. Please read application carefully before applying. All fees are non-refundable and non-transferable once accepted.

    DATE: Sunday, October 18, 2026

    TIME: 2pm – 9pm

    LOCATION: Atolye NYC, 236B 6th St, Brooklyn, NY

    KEY DATES:

    • Application deadline: Wednesday, September 9th (reviewed on a rolling basis)
    • Status of application: by Friday, September 11th
    • Fee or ticket threshold due: Friday, September 18th

    Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis

    Application fees range from at $100 - $200. Fees are inclusive of all hair show participants including models, locticians, barbers, and assistants. Guests of participants must purchase a ticket to the event. 

    1. $100 - Locs and natural hair show only (2-4 models; each additional model is $20; 6 model maximum)
    2. $100 - Live hair styling model demonstration only (4 model minimum)
    3. $100 - Hair styling station for attendees. This service should be free or be a nominal fee for the attendees ($15 fee maximum)
    4. $200 - Hair show + plus one 6 foot vendor table space (includes $50 vendor discount)

    *NOTE: Above application fees are waived when you sell twelve (12) general admission and/or six (6) VIP LOCnificent 2026 tickets by Friday, September 18th. This ticket-sale waiver applies only to the $100 hair-show-only participation fee. The $200 hair show + vendor table combo fee is not eligible for the ticket-sale waiver and remains $200 regardless of ticket sales.
