  • DECLARATION AND PERMISSIONS

  • I confirm that the photographs submitted are the student's original work and that the information on this form is correct. I have read and accept the Terms and Conditions below. I give Rangelands NRM permission to use the student's name, school, year level, region, photograph titles, descriptions and submitted images for judging, the 2027 calendar, exhibitions, publications, media, website and social media. The student retains copyright in their photographs.

  • TERMS AND CONDITIONS

  • 1. Promoter
    The promoter is Natural Resource Management Australia Limited trading as Rangelands NRM.
  • 2. Eligibility
    Entry is open to primary school students enrolled at a school located within the Kimberley, Pilbara, Gascoyne, Murchison, Goldfields-Nullarbor or Western Desert regions. A separate form must be completed for each student.

  • 3. Entry fee
    Entry is free.
  • 4. Competition period
    Entries open on 1 September 2026 and close at 11.59 pm AWST on 31st October 2026. Late, lost, incomplete, corrupted or misdirected entries may not be accepted.

  • 5. Number of entries
    Each student may submit up to four photographs.
  • 6. Theme and originality
    Each entry must respond to the Lands in Motion theme and must be photographed by the student. AI-generated images, composites and images where objects or people have been added, removed or replaced are not permitted. Basic cropping and adjustments to exposure, colour, contrast and sharpness are allowed.

  • 7. File requirements
    Images must be high resolution and at least 2 MB each. Accepted formats are JPG, JPEG, PNG and TIFF. Rangelands NRM may request the original image file or metadata.
  • 8. People, property and Country
    Entrants are responsible for obtaining permission to photograph people, private property and culturally sensitive places or material. Separate releases may be requested before an image is judged, exhibited or published.
  • 9. How to enter
    Submit the completed form and images, or a secure file-share link, to marketing@rangelandsnrm.com.au by the closing time. Rangelands NRM may contact the parent, guardian or school representative to verify details.
  • 10. Copyright and licence
    The entrant retains copyright. By entering, the entrant and parent, guardian or authorised school representative grant Rangelands NRM and its service providers a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to reproduce, publish, display, adapt for layout, archive and promote the entry in any media for competition, educational and organisational purposes.
  • 11. Personal information
    Rangelands NRM may collect and use the information on this form to administer the competition, contact entrants, publish results and promote the competition. Public acknowledgements may include the student name, school, year level and region. Contact details will not be published.
  • 12. Judging
    Entries will be assessed by a judging panel against the theme, originality, composition, storytelling and technical quality. Chance plays no part. The panel may decide not to award a prize in a category if suitable entries are not received. The judges' decision is final.

    Winners will be announced on our social media (@RangelandsNRM) in November 2026.

  • 13. Prizes and publication
    Prizes include overall primary school, year level and People's Choice awards. Some prizes are donated by Scitech. Winners are expected to be announced in November 2026. Winning images may feature in the 2027 Rangelands NRM calendar and in other publications.

  • 14. Disqualification
    Rangelands NRM may disqualify an entry that is incomplete, misleading, unsafe, culturally inappropriate, unlawful, offensive, not the student's original work or otherwise inconsistent with these Terms and Conditions.
  • 15. Changes and cancellation
    If circumstances outside Rangelands NRM's reasonable control affect the competition, Rangelands NRM may change dates, categories, judging arrangements, prizes or publication plans. Material changes will be communicated through the competition webpage and participating schools.
  • 16. Acceptance
    Submitting an entry confirms acceptance of these Terms and Conditions and the permissions given above.
