• 2027 SPVC Player/Parent Contract

  • Please read this agreement very carefully. It describes the responsibilities and obligations that come with membership in Southern Premier Volleyball Club. Completing and signing this document means that you agree to the terms and conditions as described herein. (Southern Premier Volleyball Club, hereafter referred to as “SPVC”)

     

    Club Membership Includes:

    SPVC shall provide volleyball instruction and supervision during USA Volleyball (USAV) sanctioned volleyball tournaments, in accordance with the governing policies and guidelines established by the USA Volleyball (USAV) and the Bayou Region for the 2025-2026 Club Volleyball season.

    SPVC shall provide instructional practices held at a facility designated by the Club and at times and for durations specified by SPVC.
    SPVC shall not provide replacement game uniforms.
    SPVC shall pay all fees and registration expenses associated with team tournament play, with the exception of the USAV and/or registration fees associated with Bayou membership.
    SPVC shall provide training equipment, including but not limited to: volleyball nets, balls, and training aids.

     

    Tuition, Membership Fees, and Payment Schedules:

    Installment fees are due on the first of the month. Payments are marked as late and will be charged a $50 Late Fee on the fifth of each month. Members that are not up to date on membership dues are subject to suspension of play. Coaches will be notified of players who are not allowed to participate due to membership delinquency. Fees paid to the club are non-refundable after a player has accepted a position on a team or officially joined a specific program. Players will not be released via SportsEngine for any circumstances unless they are in good financial standing with SPVC. There are no credits or refunds for players who are unable to attend tournaments or practices. In the event a team is dissolved for any reason, we will attempt to replace players. If the athlete leaves the team for any reason during the season, the entire season Tuition and Fees will still remain the responsibility of the player + parent/guardians. 

    This Financial Agreement will be governed by the laws of the State of Louisiana. This Financial Agreement constitutes the entire understanding of the parties regarding the subject matter of this Financial Agreement, and may only be modified or amended by written supplement signed by both the parent and director. By accepting and signing this agreement, I acknowledge and agree to the terms set forth from here on out. I also agree that I am still responsible for the full amount of tuition should my child choose or is not able to participate for any reason from the date signed. This also includes being dismissed as a result of discipline. Further, by signing into Agreement, as the Player’s Parent/Guardian, I confirmed that I have read, understand, and agreed to all of the conditions of this Financial Agreement entered into with Southern Premier Volleyball Club.

     

    Travel Team Expenses: 

    Travel expenses are the responsibility of each family. Travel Fees are not covered by club dues. Do not purchase or book airfare until you receive final confirmation to do so from a SPVC Administrative Staff, Travel Coordinator, or a designated SPVC representative. SPVC is not liable for any travel arrangements made outside of the hotel rooming block or any airline fees associated with flights including changes or cancellations.

     

    Practice Players:

    Each team may carry practice players.

     

    Incidentals:

    SPVC accepts no liability for costs associated with travel, parking, meals, or incidental expenses incurred while participating in SPVC activities, including but not limited to, practice sessions and tournament play.

     

    Team Assignment: 

    SPVC reserves the right to change practice times, days, and durations. SPVC solely determines content of instructional practices and the extent to which each player participates during practice and tournament events. SPVC reserves the right to control entry into the practice facility. Players and/or visitors may be asked to leave the practice facility or tournament venue at SPVC discretion. SPVC reserves the right to suspend and/or terminate a players membership for non-adherence to SPVC policies, non-adherence to practice facility rules, non-adherence to the terms and conditions of disagreement, and including without limitation: failure to make on-time tuition payments. SPVC reserves the right to utilize player images (photo and video) for promotional tools and recruiting efforts without compensation. The player shall meet the below listed minimum requirements: The player is in a good physical condition and does not have a health condition that may be complicated by strenuous physical activity, such as training for and/or playing competitive volleyball. The player does not use illegal drugs, tobacco, or alcohol. The player has a positive attitude and personally desires to play club volleyball. The player agrees to obey all of the rules and regulations by USAV and Bayou Region along with SPVC rules + policies and procedures including not limited to the SPVC code of conduct and agrees to conduct themselves as a honorable member of SPVC. 

     

    The Player’s Parent and/or Guardian: 

    The player’s parent and/our guardian can demonstrate legal guardianship of the player if requested by the club or governing organization. The player’s parent and/our guardian assume responsibility for payment of all cost, fees, and expenses associated with the player’s participation and membership in the club. The players parent and/or guardian understand that payment in full is required and that all fees are non-refundable without exception, regardless of the players ability participate in activities, including early withdrawal or termination from the club. The player’s parent and/our guardian promise to obey all of SPVC rules and regulations, including but not limited to the SPVC code of conduct. The player’s parent and/our guardian assume our responsibility for associated visitors and guests. Voluntary termination of membership by you shall not reduce or suspend your obligation to pay all dues and other debt incurred as a result of signing this agreement, including without limitation prepayment for tournaments, gym rentals, and other reasonable expenses.

     

    SPVC Rules and Regulations: 

    The following rules and regulations are what are expected from all club members regardless of age level. These rules are in addition to any and all rules set forth by USA Volleyball and Bayou region. Practice is mandatory. If you must miss a practice, you should notify your coach as soon as possible with a minimum of twenty four hours prior to that practice. Tournaments are mandatory. If you must miss a tournament, you should notify your coach as soon as possible prior to the tournament. Club members should arrive at least fifteen minutes prior to practice to ensure they are ready to go once practice begins. All players are to arrive one hour before gameplay and a minimum of thirty minutes prior to referee assignments. It is the player’s and parent’s responsibility to know this policy and to adhere to this policy. Arriving late to a tournament may affect playing time. For tournaments, club member should always have both color uniforms available. SPVC has a no-tolerance policy in regards to illegal drugs, tobacco, and alcohol for its members. Players must remain at the tournament until dismissed by the coach. This especially includes when a team must ref the final match of the day. All players were remain at the gym until the assignment is complete. All jewelry is to be removed prior to practice and tournaments. No cell phone or tablet usage by a player during practices, training, or at tournaments during matches. In cases where a player is injured, she is still allowed to attend practice. However, the player will not be allowed to participate in the physical part of the training, but can participate in the mental side of the training. Playing time will not be discussed with parents at a tournament or doing practice. You can make it appointment to speak with your coach no sooner than 24 hours after the event’s conclusion. Playing time is at the complete discretion of the coach and is based on a number of factors including but not limited to: the performance at practice, games, and etc. Opportunities are always given at practice, which is where the majority of athletes learning takes place. Coaches will be required to make all efforts to distribute playing time.

     

    Prom Policy:

    We understand the importance of an event such as prom therefore, in the case of prom potentially falling on the weekend of a tournament, we have unpermitted the following guidelines to allow seniors to attend their senior prom. 

    Each senior is allowed to attend their prom without consequence. However, they will need to be present the day prior and the day after their prom event. They will need to be present the day of prom until twelve noon if the tournament is local. This policy is in effect to be fair and respect the other players on the team that have dedicated time to participating in practices and previous tournaments. 

     


    Parent Code of Conduct:

    I will not engage in or encourage unsportsmanlike conduct with any coach, parent, player, participant, official, or any other attendee. I will not engage in or encourage any behavior, which would endanger the health, safety, or well-being of any coach, player, parent, participant, official, or attendee. I will not use drugs or alcohol while at sports events and will not attend a youth sports event while under the influence of drugs or alcohol. I will not permit my child or encourage any other person to use drugs or alcohol at any sport events. I will not permit my child to encourage any other person to attend, coach, officiate,  or participate in a sports event while under the influence of drugs or alcohol. I will encourage my child to treat any coach, parent, player, participant, official, or any other attendee with respect regardless of race, creed, national origin, sex, or ability. I will not engage or encourage verbal or physical threats or abuse aimed at any coach, parent, player, participant, official, or any other attendee. I will not use or encourage anyone to use social media outlets such as Facebook, Twitter, and etc. to post comments that are negative in any way of players, coaches, officials, or anyone who is associated with SPVC. 

    I agree that if I fail to conform my conduct to the following I will be subject to disciplinary action, including but not limited to the following in any order or combination: 

    Verbal warning  
    Written warning 
    Suspension from sport event(s) 
    Ejection from sport event(s) 
    Season termination

     

    Release and Waiver

    I give my permission for above named player to participate in SPVC. I understand that volleyball is a limited contact sport that involves jumping, running, and ball handling and injuries may occur. I acknowledge that even with the best coaches, the use of the most advanced protective equipment, and strict rules injuries  are still possible. I hereby authorize SPVC staff to act for me according to the best judgment in any emergency situation requiring medical attention. I hereby waive and release SPVC and it’s staff from any and all liabilities stemming from any injuries or illnesses while participating in the club. I understand and agree  that some activities might be hazardous, and/or include physical exercise activity. If an injury is sustained by the athlete and/or  hospitalized, understand that I or my medical insurance company is fully responsible for any and all bills/claims that may be filed as a result of the injury.


    I understand by signing this Letter of Commitment, I agree that I will support the club in word and deed. I certify that I have read all terms and conditions in this document. I have discussed them with the club representative named within, and I fully understand, accept, and agree to be bound by them from the date signed until July 2027.
