      Reports to:

      Medical Staff Services Coordinator/Director

      Job Summary:

      Provides support for all credentialing functions and meeting coordination within the Medical Staff Services Department.  Process and verify new applications and reapplications for the Medical Staff. Maintain and update credentialing software. provider access to EMR and other Hospital programs, intranet and other internal directories. Responsible for verifying proper training, credentials, insurance, certifications, licensure and any other credentialing document as required by state, federal and acrreditation requirements. Monitors license and credentials expiration dates and advise staff members of required “renew by” dates.  Ensures that state, federal, and other regulations are met pertaining to credentialing requirements for all medical staff including Physicians, Podiatrists, Dentists, Telemedicine Providers and Advanced Practice Providers. Coordinates credentialing file review with department chairs & credentials committee members.  Coordinate and support the Credentials Committee including creating the agenda, taking meeting minutes and presenting agenda items in a complete and organized manner.       JOB DESCRIPTION DETAILS

      Job Summary:
      As a Dietitian, you will be responsible for all patient care activities related to nutrition. This role includes assessing patients’ nutritional needs, developing and implementing individualized nutrition care plans, and evaluating and monitoring outcomes in accordance with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND) evidence-based guidelines. 

      The Dietitian establishes goals to provide optimal nutrition care in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team. Responsibilities include conducting accurate assessments and providing recommendations for patients requiring enteral or parenteral nutrition, in alignment with ASPEN guidelines. 

      The role also involves delivering comprehensive nutrition education to patients on a variety of nutrition-related topics. In this role, the Dietitian will work with both surgical and nonsurgical patients in collaboration with the bariatric and weight management team. Key responsibilities include pre-surgery nutrition assessments, post-surgery dietary management, nutritional monitoring, complication prevention, and long-term nutritional support. 

      This role is split between acute care responsibilities and the bariatric and weight management clinic, with a focus on maintaining high-quality care by overseeing all aspects of patients’ nutrition and dietary needs. 

      This position may require occasional travel to the Waldorf weight management location. Limited remote work is permitted; however, telehealth appointments are not included in this role. Performs other duties as assigned. 

      Education:
      Position requires a Bachelor's Degree in Nutritional Science or a related field from an accredited college or university and successful completion of an accredited dietetics program through the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND).

      Registration/Certification/Licensure:
      - Maryland State licensure as a Dietitian/Nutritionist is required.
      - Credentialed Registered Dietitian by the Commission of Dietetic Registration (CDR) is required.

      Experience:
      Position requires 1-2 years of experience as a dietitian/nutritionist; one year experience as a clinical dietitian in an acute care facility is preferred. Recent graduates will be considered but must be registered and licensed in the State of Maryland.
