Attendance: 1,000 - 3,000

Arrival/Setup Time: 3:00 - 4:00pm

Additional Notes:

This event will be held rain or shine.
Liability Insurance is required for every event. Policies must list City of Santee as a Certificate Holder as well as Additionally Ensured. If you are not able to provide insurance naming the City of Santee as additionally insured, you can purchase insurance through the city.
Please provide all your own booth equipment (10'x10' Canopy, Table, Chairs, Table Cloth, etc.), unless you purchase the rental through the City.
All four legs of the canopy must be weighted; equipment may be subject to Fire Marshall inspection
All activities must be conducted within your booth or the area immediately adjacent to your booth. (Spaces are approximately 10' x 10')
Booth placement at the event will be determined by City staff. Only sponsors are eligible to make specific requests
No sales may be conducted at your booth; however, opportunity drawings with free entry are permitted.
The City of Santee reserves the right to choose vendors that meet the needs/theme of the event. Multiple vendors in attendance may provide similar services and/or resources.
Applications are reviewed on a first-come, first-served basis. Attendance in previous events does not guarantee participation in this year's event
We anticipate this event to "sell out", so we encourage you to submit your application ASAP.
Applications are not complete until all payment and/or documents have been submitted
Please help us promote the event through your website, social media channels, e-blasts, promotional collateral, and word of mouth.

We are not accepting food vendor applications for this event (i.e. food trucks, lemonade stands, candy sales, etc.)

I understand that I must provide an engaging activity for guests such as a game or craft that relates to the theme of the event. And said activities must occur within my designated booth space

I acknowledge that sales cannot occur at my booth; however, I may provide an opportunity drawing with free entries.

I understand that I will be required to provide my own canopy weights or tie-downs if I'm bringing my own supplies. [Fire Marshall is subject to review your supplies on the day of the event]

Your attendance is not confirmed until all outstanding documents or payments have been submitted and approved. The City holds the right to reject your application and replace you with another applicant if documentation or payment is not received.

All businesses must accept and acknowledge the following to participate:

I UNDERSTAND AND ACKNOWLEDGE that participating in Santee's Holiday Lighting (“Event”) presents the potential for injury, death, and property loss. The risks include, but are not limited to those caused by terrain, facilities, equipment, and the actions of others, including, but not limited to City of Santee workers, other participants, spectators, and volunteers. I understand and acknowledge that my injuries, death or property loss are solely my responsibility and not the responsibility of the City of Santee. I understand that I am assuming all risks associated with participation in the Event. I ACKNOWLEDGE that this form will be used by the City of Santee and that it will govern my actions and my responsibilities. In consideration and participation of this event: I hereby WAIVE, RELEASE, AND DISCHARGE the City of Santee, its officials, directors, officers, employees, volunteers, contractors, and attorneys (collectively, “Releasees”) from any and all alleged and actual claims, damages, remedies, causes of action, demands, and other liabilities(collectively, “Liabilities”) arising out of or in any manner related to my participating in the Event. The foregoing release and waiver applies to all Liabilities, whether retrospective, current, or prospective, known or unknown, foreseeable or unforeseeable, whether caused by the negligence of the Releasees or otherwise. With respect to the matters released hereunder, the undersigned waives any rights or benefits that he or she might otherwise have under California law. I specifically waive the provisions of Section 1542 of the California Civil Code, and any other similar statute or provision, which provides as follows: A GENERAL RELEASE DOES NOT EXTEND TO CLAIMS THAT THE CREDITOR OR RELEASING PARTY DOES NOT KNOW OR SUSPECT TO EXIST IN HIS OR HER FAVOR AT THE TIME OF EXECUTING THE RELEASE AND THAT, IF KNOWN BY HIM OR HER, WOULD HAVE MATERIALLY AFFECTED HIS OR HER SETTLEMENT WITH THE DEBTOR OR RELEASED PARTY. I also agree to indemnify, defend with counsel of the City’s choosing, and save and hold harmless the City and the Releasees from any and all liability, claims, suits, actions, arbitration proceedings, administrative or regulatory proceedings, losses, expenses, or costs of any kind, whether actual alleged, or threatened, actual attorney’s fees incurred by the City, court costs, interest, defense costs, including expert witness fees, and any other costs of any kind incurred in relation to or in any way attributable to the actual or contemplated participation in the Event, including, but not limited to, any liability, harm, penalty, or loss to persons or property, or which may arise from any violation of the law, including any harm to the Event facilities or caused by the Event facilities. THIS WAIVER, RELEASE, AND DISCHARGE COVERS MY PERSONALRIGHTS. I UNDERSTAND that I am giving up substantial rights to recover damages in the event of injury, death, or damage to property by signing this Waiver and Release of Liability. I acknowledge and expressly agree that the foregoing release, waiver, and indemnity provisions are intended to be as broad and inclusive as is permitted by the laws of the State of California. I further agree that if any portion of this Agreement is held invalid, the balance of this Agreement shall, notwithstanding, continue in full legal force and effect.
