  • Thank you for your willingness to volunteer - we’re so grateful to have you as part of this special day.

Before you join us, we just ask that you read and acknowledge the below guidelines. By pressing submit on this form, you confirm that you understand and agree to these expectations.

    • I understand that as a volunteer at Mary MacKillop Place, I am expected to act in a way that reflects the Catholic spirit of kindness, respect, hospitality, and care for others. This includes treating all people with dignity, being inclusive and welcoming, and helping to create a peaceful and positive atmosphere throughout the day.

    • I understand that I’m offering my time and support as a volunteer, and that this role is unpaid. I understand I will be provided with a meal and drink as part of my service.

    • I know that all reasonable care will be taken to keep everyone safe, but I understand that, like any public event, there may be some small risks (such as moving around large crowds, working outdoors, or being on my feet for periods of time).

    • I will do my best to look after my own wellbeing and will let the volunteer coordinator know if I am unsure about anything or feel unwell or unsafe during my shift.

    • I will follow the guidance of the staff and coordinators to help create a welcoming and safe environment for everyone.

    • If I have any medical conditions, allergies, or accessibility needs that might affect my volunteering, I will let the organisers know so they can support me; and I will ensure I am properly equipped with items for these needs.

    • I confirm I am willing to complete the Sisters of Saint Joseph Safeguarding Declaration when I check in for the feast day.
