Convey your interest for the Second Annual Pumpkin Smash!
IMPORTANT: Regardless of finances, ALL interested schools are encouraged to pre-register. We will do our best to accommodate as many schools as possible.

Pre-registration helps Fertile Earth gauge interest and draw the proposed truck route. Pre-registration closes October 15, after which the route and participating schools will be finalized.

Last year we collected 6,850 pounds of pumpkins!
Program Information
Welcome teachers. It's time for the Second Annual Pumpkin Smash!

This is an optional program between M-DCPS and Fertile Earth to educate and inspire students about sustainability and composting.

During last year's Inaugural Pumpkin Smash, we diverted 6,850 pounds of pumpkins, and this year our goal is to double that amount.

Last year, the hands-down winner of The Prestigious Golden Pumpkin Award was George Washington Carver Elementary.

Schools in Fertile Earth Pilot Program: $49

Regular Participation Fee: $150 — Registration closes October 15.
