  • Oak Tree View – Horse Float Hire Terms & Conditions

This horse float is owned by Red Dirt Hire & Roam and managed on their behalf by Oak Tree View. References to "we," "us," or "the Company" in these Terms & Conditions refer to both Red Dirt Hire & Roam and Oak Tree View jointly.

By submitting a booking request and completing payment, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to the following Terms & Conditions.

    1. Booking & Payment
    - A $120 booking fee is required to secure your booking and is applied toward your total hire cost. An invoice for this fee is sent once your booking is approved, and payment is due within 24 hours of that invoice being sent.
    - Any remaining balance is due in full within 7 days of your scheduled pickup time.

    2. Hire Fee
    - Hire is $120 per calendar day. Additional days are charged at the same daily rate.

    3. Cancellations
    - Cancellations made less than 48 hours before the scheduled pickup time forfeit the $120 booking fee.
    - Cancellations made 48 hours or more before the scheduled pickup time will be refunded in full.

    4. Condition of the Float
    - The float is supplied in a clean, safe, and roadworthy condition. The hirer agrees to return it in the same condition, allowing for fair wear and tear.

    5. Cleaning Fee
    - The float must be returned clean and free from manure, urine, feed, mud, rubbish, and excessive dirt.
    - A cleaning fee of $50, up to $160 depending on condition, applies if the float is returned dirty, and is payable at the time the float is returned.

    6. Late Return
    - If the float is not returned by the agreed return time, a late fee equal to the standard daily hire rate applies for each day (or part day) it remains outstanding, until it is returned and available for other bookings.

    7. Damage
    - The hirer is responsible for any damage caused during the hire period, including tyres, wheels, lights, windows, doors, fittings, and accessories, excluding fair wear and tear. Any damage, accident, or mechanical issue must be reported immediately.

    8. Insurance Excess
    - The float is insured; however, the hirer is responsible for the first $1,100 insurance excess for any claim arising during the hire period where the hirer is liable.

    9. Traffic Infringements, Tolls and Parking Fees
    - The hirer is solely responsible for any traffic infringements, fines, tolls, or parking fees incurred during the hire period, even if the notice is received after the hire period ends.

    10. Authority to Charge
    - By agreeing to these Terms & Conditions, the hirer authorises Red Dirt Hire & Roam and Oak Tree View to charge the payment method provided for the insurance excess, damage repair costs, late return fees, traffic infringements, tolls, and related administration fees.
    - If the cleaning fee is not settled at the time of return, the hirer authorises the payment method on file to be charged instead.

    11. Personal Property
    - Red Dirt Hire & Roam and Oak Tree View accept no responsibility or liability for any loss, theft, or damage to personal belongings, tack, equipment, or other items carried in or on the float. All personal property is transported entirely at the hirer's own risk.

    12. Animal Welfare
    - Horses and other animals are transported entirely at the owner's risk. Red Dirt Hire & Roam and Oak Tree View accept no liability for injury, illness, death, escape, stress, or loss of any animal while using the float, except where liability cannot be excluded under Australian Consumer Law. It is the owner's responsibility to ensure animals are fit to travel and are loaded and secured correctly.

    13. Hirer's Responsibilities
    The hirer agrees to:
    - Hold a current and valid driver's licence.
    - Ensure the towing vehicle is suitable and legally rated to tow the float.
    - Use the float in a safe and lawful manner and not overload it or use it for any illegal purpose.
    - Provide accurate vehicle registration details for the vehicle collecting the float.

    14. Acceptance
By taking possession of the float, the hirer confirms that they have inspected the float and are satisfied with its condition, and agree to these Terms & Conditions.
