• Gem State Challenge Presented by Powerade 2026 - Field Marshal Form

  • IYSA is a non-profit organization that relies heavily on volunteers to run successful tournaments. Please submit this form once the schedule has been published.

*Schedule link will be attached here*

What does a Field Marshal do?
Field marshals play a simple but critical role in ensuring the safety and smooth operation of the tournament. They act as our eyes and ears on the field and are seated on the same side as the referees for easy access. As team representatives, field marshals are expected to remain neutral during play.

Check-in at the Volunteer Tent at headquarters at least 15 minutes before each assigned game. You will receive:

    • Detailed instructions
    • A radio for communication with medical and headquarters

Basic Duties of a Field Marshal:

    1. Check in at headquarters 15 minutes prior to game time
    2. Assist referees when requested
    3. Use radio to contact medical if needed
    4. Use radio to report any issues (behavior, field concerns, etc.)
    5. Call in final scores for championship matches
