• 2026 Board of Directors Nominations Form

Please submit your nominations by the deadline of September 4, 2026.
  • As APAP celebrates its 70th Anniversary, we are building a Board to lead us into the next chapter - one that will strengthen our organization, expand opportunity across the field, and keep APAP at the center of innovation, collaboration, and community in the performing arts.

We anticipate filling up to nine seats, each a three-year term beginning January 2027. We invite you to nominate yourself or a colleague ready to help shape what comes next.

    The Role of the Board
APAP's Board is not a ceremonial body – it is the strategic engine that partners with the President and CEO to advance the organization's mission and secure its future. Board members provide fiduciary oversight, shape long-term direction, and serve as ambassadors for APAP and the field. Fundraising is central to that role: every member is expected to make a personally meaningful annual gift of at least $1,000, open doors to new donors and partners, and advocate for APAP within their networks. The commitment is approximately 2-4 hours per month - a modest investment for a role with outsized influence on where the field goes next.

    Who We're Looking For
We're seeking leaders from across the performing arts ecosystem - artists, agents, presenters, producers, and service organizations - alongside those from philanthropy, business, technology, education, and civic life. Diversity of geography, generation, and professional background strengthens the Board's ability to see around corners for the field.

Based on our current Board assessment, we're especially eager for expertise in legal, technology and digital innovation, and human resources, along with finance, marketing, governance, advocacy, and nonprofit leadership. We're also looking to add voices from small and mid-sized presenters, outdoor and festival organizations, large agencies, corporate partnerships, and ticketing/tech partners - as well as leaders from the Southwestern U.S., Canada, and Mexico.

All nominations are reviewed by the Nominations Task Force, with recommendations advancing to the Governance Committee for final Board approval.

Thank you for helping identify the leaders who will shape APAP's future.
