  • The Vanguard Women of Impact Awards celebrate extraordinary women whose leadership, service, innovation, and dedication are creating meaningful change in our communities and beyond. These awards recognize women whose contributions have made a lasting impact in the areas of Arts & Culture, Economic Impact, Health, Advocacy, and Education.

    We are honored to open nominations for the 2026 Vanguard Women of Impact Awards and invite you to help us recognize exceptional women whose work inspires others, uplifts communities, and advances opportunities for future generations.

    Whether through professional achievement, community leadership, advocacy, or service, these remarkable women embody excellence and demonstrate the power of purpose-driven leadership.

    We encourage nominations from all sectors and backgrounds and especially welcome nominations for women whose contributions may not always receive the recognition they deserve.

    Please complete all required sections of this form and provide a thoughtful description of the nominee’s achievements, leadership, service, and impact within the selected award category. Nominees may only be nominated in one award category.

    Self-nominations are welcome. Nominations should include enough detail for the Selection Committee to understand the nominee’s contributions, impact, and alignment with the spirit of the Vanguard Women of Impact Awards.

    All nominations must be submitted by Saturday, September 4, 2026, at 7:00 PM. Late or incomplete nominations will not be considered.

    Finalists may be asked to provide a professional headshot and additional information for recognition purposes.

  • Award Categories & Eligibility Criteria

  • Arts & Culture Award: Recognizes women who have demonstrated outstanding achievement and innovation in the arts and cultural sectors.

    Nominees should demonstrate:

    • Excellence in visual arts, performing arts, literature, media, or cultural preservation.
    • Meaningful contributions that enrich, preserve, or advance cultural awareness and appreciation.
    • A lasting impact on the cultural landscape of the community and beyond.


    Economic Impact Award: Recognizes women whose leadership and vision have contributed to economic growth, entrepreneurship, workforce development, or community advancement.

    Nominees should demonstrate:

    • Leadership in business, entrepreneurship, innovation, or economic development.
    • Creation of opportunities that strengthen individuals, organizations, or communities.
    • Measurable contributions that promote economic empowerment and sustainability.


    Health Impact Award: Recognizes women who have made significant contributions to improving health outcomes and advancing wellness within their communities.

    Nominees should demonstrate:

    • Leadership in healthcare, public health, wellness, or health advocacy.
    • Efforts that improve healthcare access, quality, equity, or outcomes.
    • A commitment to addressing health disparities and promoting healthier communities.


    Advocacy Impact Award: Recognizes women who have championed causes that advance social justice, human rights, equity, environmental sustainability, or community well-being.

    Nominees should demonstrate:

    • Courageous and impactful advocacy efforts.
    • Leadership in raising awareness, mobilizing support, and influencing positive change.
    • A commitment to creating a more just, equitable, and inclusive society.


    Education Impact Award: Recognizes women who have made exceptional contributions to education and lifelong learning.

    Nominees should demonstrate:

    • Excellence in teaching, mentoring, educational leadership, research, or program development.
    • Efforts that promote educational access, equity, innovation, and student success.
    • A meaningful and lasting impact on learners, educators, or educational institutions.
  • Nomination Guidelines:

    • Individuals may nominate a deserving candidate or submit a self-nomination.
    • Nominees may only be nominated in one award category.
    • All nominations must be submitted by Saturday, September 4, 2026, at 7:00 PM.
    • Complete nominations should include sufficient detail to allow the Selection Committee to evaluate the nominee's impact and contributions.
    • Late or incomplete nominations may not be considered.

    • Significance and sustainability of contributions
    • Alignment with the spirit and purpose of the Vanguard Women of Impact Awards
  • Awards Celebration

  • Recipients of the 2026 Vanguard Women of Impact Awards will be recognized during the Vanguard Women of Impact Scholarship Community Awards Ceremony.
