  • CONSIDERATIONS — READ BEFORE QUOTING

HOW EACH DOOR MOUNTS: The SB4 Screen Door attaches on all four sides, so it needs solid framing all the way around the opening. Most lanai and porch bays do not have that, which means we usually have to build in extra framing or support before it can mount. That is added labor and material, so it has to be on the quote. The SB Screen Pet Door is different. It has a mounting flange on the bottom and on one side, left or right. Those two sides attach straight to the existing screen door frame. The other two sides have the screen rolled into them, so no extra framing is needed. Quick rule: mounting into an existing screen door frame usually means the SB Screen with no added framing. Mounting into an open lanai bay usually means the SB4 with added framing. Measure the opening and quote the framing work up front.

BRACE BAR: Brace bars are only for doors, this SB4 is going to have framing built around it so the brace bar is irrelevant
