  • Host Responsibilities:

    1. The BAH hosting fee is based on the tier of the event. The signed agreement is due back and a 50% non-refundable deposit to The Greater Bloomington Chamber of Commerce before securing the date. This hosting fee covers the Chamber’s marketing and event coordination services. The host is also responsible for all event costs, including food, beverages, raffle prizes, entertainment (if applicable), and venue setup.

    2. Full payment for Business After Hours is due 90 days prior to the event.

    3. The undersigned shall fully indemnify the Chamber for any and all claims, damages, liabilities, costs, expenses and attorneys' fees incurred as a result of hosting the Business After Hours program. The BAH host must have appropriate event insurance.

    4. As BAH Host, you are welcome to send a flyer or printed announcement in addition to the marketing support provided by The Chamber. The BAH host is responsible for all costs associated with any such mailings and we ask that you allow The Chamber to review the piece prior to mailing.

    5. Synergy is an important part of Chamber membership and can greatly enhance any Business After Hours event. If you wish to have one or more co-host(s), we ask that they are current Chamber members. Please list names of any co-hosts below. Please note: Full responsibility, including insurance, appropriate licensing, and other legal obligations for the event, lies with the designated primary host. This will also be the party The Chamber will communicate with during the planning of your BAH.

    6. If you do not have a suitable space to host the event, you are welcome to partner with another Chamber member who has a venue. Co-hosting arrangements are encouraged but must be coordinated between the businesses, including how the hosting fee is shared.

    7. The Chamber is a membership-organization and has an obligation to patronize our member businesses. As a Chamber member, we ask that you make every effort to utilize the services of your fellow Chamber members. We encourage you to utilize your fellow Chamber members as co-hosts, caterers, florists, bartenders, printers, rentals, and door prize donations/donors. Please check The Chamber’s on-line Membership Directory to verify membership status (ChamberBloomington.org) for most updated list or call The Chamber if you are in doubt.

    8. If the host fails to have an event, the host fee will be forfeited to the Chamber. Every effort will be made to credit this host fee towards a future Chamber event – which may or may not be a BAH event.

  • Chamber Responsibilities:

    1. The Chamber will support the host with the following marketing support:
      1. Create and send electronic communications promoting the event, date, location, host, door prizes and their donors.
      2. Your BAH event information and business name and logo will appear in any Events Update electronic messages sent to the membership prior to your event.
      3. Your business name and BAH information will appear on The Chamber website.
      4. Your business name and BAH information will appear on The Chamber’s Social Media accounts.
      5. Your business name and logo will appear in all electronic Membership Matters newsletters leading up to your BAH event.
