Discipleship Survey
Our mission at Mountain View Church is to grow whole followers of Jesus for the flourishing of the whole community. We believe Christianity was never meant to be purely individual — Jesus calls us to love Him with all that we are and to love our neighbors as ourselves. That's why we organize discipleship around three areas that reflect the whole person and the whole of our community:
Head (growing in biblical knowledge and understanding),
Heart (growing in worship and community), and
Hands (growing in serving and mission).
Growth in one area strengthens growth in the others, just as a healthy body needs all its parts working together.
This survey is designed to help you take an honest look at where you currently are in each of these areas — and to help our pastoral team understand how to better support you in taking your next step. There are no "right" answers here. This isn't a test, and it isn't about comparing yourself to anyone else. It's simply a tool to help you reflect, and to help us serve you well.
A note on names: Unlike some surveys, this one isn't anonymous. We ask for your name because we want a real person from our pastoral team to be able to follow-up with you if needed — not to evaluate or grade you. There's no wrong score here. We simply want to know how to walk alongside you well.
A few things before you begin:
- It will take about 20 minutes. Find a quiet moment where you can think honestly rather than rush through it.
- Answer as you actually are, not as you wish you were. The most helpful survey is a truthful one. Wherever you're at, that's exactly the right place to start.
- This is about your journey. Our hope is that this survey helps you take ownership of your own spiritual growth, not just report to us where you stand.
- We will use your answers to help you take a next step. At the end of each section, we'll ask what kind of support would be helpful — a class, a group, a conversation with a pastor, or something else. Your answers there will shape how we follow up with you personally.
Thank you for taking the time to reflect honestly. We're grateful to be on this journey with you, and we're praying this survey becomes one small step toward growing deeper in Christ, together.
