  • Christ Church Chorister Registration

  • Christ Church Choristers is open to all students of reading ability, generally, 3rd grade and older.  First-year Choristers are considered Apprentice Choristers and earn their cottas (the white liturgical vestment) the second year of their participation.  In addition to learning music in the Anglican and American choral traditions, Choristers receive instruction in basic music theory (pitch, rhythm, sight singing); musicianship; comportment; and history and practice of sacred music and liturgy.

    The Chorister rehearsal schedule is:

    Junior Chorister Rehearsal

    Tuesdays
    3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

    Senior Girl Chorister Rehearsal Wednesdays
    3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Christ Church Choristers participate in the music ministry of Christ Church Parish.  Seniro Girls join the Parish Choir to sing the 10:30 a.m. Eucharist approximately two Sundays per month.  Junior Choristers join the Parish Choir and Senior Girls to sing the 10:30 a.m. Eucharist approximately one Sunday per month.  Christ Church Parish is an affiliate of the Royal School of Church Music (RSCM America).

There is no cost to participate in Christ Church choristers.

Special summer courses or trips would involve tuition and/or fundraising.
