Healing Arts Week South Australia 2027 — Artist Award Application

Healing Arts South Australia (3-9 May 2027) is the first of its kind in the nation and in the Southern Hemisphere. As part of the Jameel Arts & Health Lab's global outreach campaign with the World Health Organization, it celebrates the role of the arts and creative and cultural expression in promoting health, wellbeing and social equity.

We invite South Australian artists of all ages to create the defining artwork for Healing Arts Week South Australia 2027. One winning artist receives $5,000, with their work selected as the official hero artwork across the campaign's digital, print and promotional materials.

Submit an original artwork inspired by one or more of the Week's key themes:

- The art to growing up safe and happy

- The art to mental health in a changing world

- The art to connection through culture

- The art to ageing well

Entries must be original, must NOT be generated using artificial intelligence, and must include a short statement explaining how the artwork reflects the themes and spirit of Healing Arts Week South Australia.

Key dates: Opens Monday 10 August 2026, 9:00am ACST | Closes Saturday 12 September 2026, 5:00pm ACST | Winner notified October 2026.
