    In the Orthodox tradition, we call icons "windows to heaven," and a fresco is a window built into the very walls of the church itself, one that will outlast every person who gives toward it today. Scripture tells us that God loves a cheerful giver (2 Corinthians 9:7), and that whatever we do for the least of our brothers and sisters, we do for Christ Himself (Matthew 25:40). Orthober Fest is our community's offering toward that calling. Every dollar raised goes directly to writing the frescoes inside our church, holy images that will surround baptisms, weddings, funerals, and feast days for generations of faithful yet to come. Our goal this year is to raise $15,000 toward the full $100,000 project. We ask you to consider your gift not as a donation, but as a small act of co-laboring with God in beautifying His house.   • We're a small parish taking on a big dream: painting the frescoes that will finally fill the walls of our church. It's a $100,000 undertaking, and this year we're hoping Orthober Fest can raise $15,000 toward it, with over 1,000 guests expected to walk through the festival grounds.
