The film tells the inspiring story of the restoration of the Jewish cemetery in Goniądz, Poland, the ancestral hometown of filmmaker Dr. Myrna Teck's family. Following the screening, Alan will share how preserving Jewish cemeteries helps protect the memory of once-vibrant Jewish communities, drawing on more than two decades of restoration work in Poland.Alan Metnick is a historian and preservationist who has dedicated more than twenty years to restoring Jewish cemeteries in Poland and preserving Jewish heritage.
