CUMBERLAND SUMMER SEVENS
TERMS & CONDITIONS, WAIVER & PARTICIPATION AGREEMENT
By submitting a team booking and participating in the Cumberland Summer Sevens competition, the team organiser and all participating players acknowledge, understand and agree to the following Terms & Conditions.
1. TEAM REGISTRATION & PAYMENT
• Registrations and payments are accepted by team only. Individual player registrations or payments will not be accepted.
• The team organiser is responsible for ensuring that all players and team officials are aware of and agree to these Terms & Conditions.
• All payments are STRICTLY NON-REFUNDABLE. Teams should ensure they are available and able to commit to the competition before submitting payment.
• No refunds will be provided for individual players who withdraw, teams that choose not to participate, matches missed by a team or player, or teams removed from the competition due to misconduct or rule breaches.
2. COMPETITION FORMAT
• Matches are 7 v 7, except Under 7s, who play 5 v 5.
• The organisers reserve the right to determine competition structures, grading, match duration, finals formats and competition rules as required.
3. MIXED ADULT COMPETITION
• Mixed Adult teams must have a minimum of 3 female players on the field at all times.
• Female players are not permitted to play as goalkeeper in the Mixed Adult competition.
• Teams that do not meet the required player ratio may be deemed ineligible to participate or may forfeit the match, at the discretion of the organisers.
4. PLAYING UNIFORMS & EQUIPMENT
• Teams are responsible for providing their own playing uniforms.
• All outfield players must wear matching playing shirts of the same colour and design.
• The goalkeeper must wear a clearly identifiable shirt or colour that distinguishes them from all other players and officials.
• Players must wear suitable football footwear and shin pads.
• The organisers and referees reserve the right to prevent a player from participating if their uniform or equipment is considered unsuitable, unsafe or does not comply with competition requirements.
5. FIXTURES, WEATHER & CANCELLATIONS
• The organisers reserve the right to change, reschedule, postpone, shorten or cancel matches or competition rounds due to weather, ground conditions, facility availability, safety concerns or any other circumstances beyond the organisers' reasonable control.
• Where matches or rounds cannot be completed, the organisers will determine the appropriate outcome, including whether matches are rescheduled, abandoned or deemed complete.
• No refunds will be provided for individual matches missed by a team or player or where the competition is affected by circumstances beyond the organisers' reasonable control.
6. PLAYER PARTICIPATION & WAIVER
• All players participate in the competition entirely at their own risk. Football and sporting activities involve inherent risks, including the risk of injury, serious injury or, in rare circumstances, death.
• Players are responsible for ensuring that they are physically fit and medically able to participate. Players should not participate if they are injured, unwell or otherwise medically unfit.
• To the extent permitted by law, participants release and hold harmless Holroyd Rangers Soccer Club, its committee, members, volunteers, officials, referees, coaches, representatives and competition organisers from any claim, loss, damage, injury, cost or expense arising from or connected with participation in the competition, except where such liability cannot legally be excluded.
• Participants acknowledge that they are responsible for obtaining their own personal accident, medical and other relevant insurance. The organisers do not provide personal injury insurance for individual players unless expressly stated otherwise.
7. MEDICAL & EMERGENCY TREATMENT
• In the event of an injury or medical emergency, participants consent to reasonable first aid and emergency assistance being provided where considered necessary.
• Where required, emergency medical services may be contacted. Any costs associated with medical treatment, ambulance transport or hospital care are the responsibility of the individual participant.
• Participants are responsible for notifying the organisers of any relevant medical condition, allergy or other information that may affect their participation or emergency treatment.
8. PLAYER CONDUCT & TEAM RESPONSIBILITY
• All players, team officials and spectators must behave respectfully and appropriately towards referees, organisers, volunteers, opposition players and other participants.
• Violence, threatening behaviour, abusive or offensive language, discrimination, harassment, intimidation and unsporting conduct will not be tolerated.
• The organisers reserve the right to remove, suspend or disqualify any player, team official, team or spectator for misconduct or for breaching competition rules.
• No refund will be provided where a player or team is removed, suspended or disqualified due to misconduct or a breach of the rules.
9. RED CARDS & DISCIPLINARY ACTION
• Any player who receives a red card will automatically receive a minimum one (1) match suspension and incur a $50 fine.
• The one-match suspension is the minimum penalty and may be extended following a review of the incident by the competition organisers or disciplinary panel.
• Depending on the nature and seriousness of the offence, additional sanctions may include further match suspensions, increased penalties, disqualification or removal from the competition.
• A player who receives a red card must leave the field and playing area immediately and must not participate in the remainder of that match.
• The team organiser is responsible for ensuring that suspended players do not participate in matches during their suspension.
• Disciplinary decisions made following a review are final, subject to any rights that cannot legally be excluded.
10. TEAM RESPONSIBILITIES
• The team organiser is responsible for ensuring that all players are eligible to participate and comply with the competition rules.
• Teams are responsible for providing their own suitable playing equipment, uniforms and footwear.
• Players and team officials must follow all reasonable directions given by referees, competition officials and organisers.
• Teams are responsible for the behaviour and conduct of their players, team officials and spectators.
11. PERSONAL PROPERTY
• Participants are responsible for their own personal belongings, valuables and equipment.
• The organisers accept no responsibility for lost, stolen or damaged personal property.
12. PHOTOGRAPHY & MEDIA
• Participants acknowledge that photographs and video may be taken during the competition and may be used by Holroyd Rangers Soccer Club and the competition organisers for legitimate promotional, social media and marketing purposes.
• Any participant who does not wish to be photographed or filmed should notify the organisers before participating.
13. ORGANISER'S AUTHORITY
• The organisers reserve the right to interpret and enforce these Terms & Conditions and to make reasonable decisions regarding competition rules, fixtures, player eligibility, match outcomes, disciplinary matters and any other issue arising during the competition.
• The organisers may amend or update competition rules where reasonably necessary to ensure the safe, fair and orderly operation of the competition.
• The organisers' decisions are final, subject to any rights that cannot legally be excluded.
14. ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS & WAIVER
By submitting this booking form, the team organiser confirms that they have read, understood and accepted these Terms & Conditions and agrees to ensure that all players participating in their team are made aware of them.
By participating in any Cumberland Summer Sevens match, training, warm-up or competition-related activity, each participant acknowledges and agrees that they are participating voluntarily and entirely at their own risk, accepts the inherent risks associated with playing football and agrees to comply with all competition rules and reasonable directions from referees, officials and organisers.
IMPORTANT: By submitting this booking and participating in the Cumberland Summer Sevens competition, you confirm that you have read, understood and accepted these Terms & Conditions, including the participation waiver and acknowledgement of risk, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
