Colorado Preservation, Inc. (CPI) is proud to announce the continuation of our Workforce Development Track at the 2027 Saving Places Conference, taking place February 10–12, 2027, at the DoubleTree Hotel in Denver – Central Park. Additionally, we are hosting The American Historic Trades Summit in partnership with The Campaign for Historic Trades.
As part of these initiatives, CPI will award 10 scholarships to individuals with financial need who are interested in pursuing or advancing careers in historic preservation, preservation trades, cultural heritage, and community revitalization. These scholarships are designed to eliminate barriers to participation and ensure that emerging professionals, students, apprentices, and underrepresented community members can access training, and networking opportunities at the conference.
Eligibility Criteria:
Applicants must:

Demonstrate financial need.

Show interest in or commitment to careers in historic preservation, preservation trades, cultural heritage, community development, or related fields.

Be available to attend the full in-person conference (February 10–12, 2027).
Agree to complete a post-conference evaluation (by February 19, 2027).
Scholarship Benefits:
- Full or partial coverage of conference registration fees.
- Access to all conference sessions, workshops, and networking opportunities (to include luncheons and tours).
- Overnight lodging at the conference hotel is $149 per night and must be booked by January 20. If additional assistance is needed to cover hotel reservations please note this in your scholarship application.
