Due to the proprietary experience needed, the FOCUS Chair and both EVP positions will likely be filled internally by existing senior members of the CYIS team.
List of Positions & Responsibilities:
Vice President of Administration (1 per FOCUS, Toronto, Vancouver): Handling administration and delegate affairs. Main contact point for delegates and school teachers throughout the year regarding registration and event details. Manages internal databases and general admin for FOCUS Flagship event + National Stock Pitch Competition and online workshops throughout the year.
Vice President of Logistics (1 per FOCUS, Toronto, Vancouver) - Responsible for negotiating and securing venue, room setups, ordering supplies, schedules, AV, and volunteer (i.e: case competition judges, guest speakers) recruitment.
Vice President of Conference (FOCUS only) - Develops the conference and competition theme (i.e: FOCUS 2026 was a written M&A-oriented case developed with team members from RBC). Handles outreach to judges, panelists, workshop leads, and keynote speakers with Vice President of Logistics. Builds the conference programming.
Vice President of Finance (FOCUS only) - Creates the conference-specific budget, tracks spending, and provides recommendations on fund allocation for supplies etc... Manages grants, donations, and sponsorships, and recruits sponsors in conjunction with regional finance team members.
Vice President of Marketing (1 per FOCUS, Toronto, Vancouver) - Creates the marketing strategy and develops registration campaigns across social media and school outreach. Also creates Chapter Leader social media posts for branding consistency.
Vice President of Chapters (1 per Toronto and Vancouver each) - Responsible for restarting the CYIS Chapter system on a local scale, targeting ten new high school and university chapters by June 2027. Holds biweekly meetings with each Chapter Leader. Requires strong communication and time management. Ideally, the Vice President of Chapters begins their work by starting a CYIS Chapter at their old school.
Vice President of Outreach (1 per Toronto, Vancouver) - Responsible for school outreach, partnerships with clubs at major universities (i.e: UofT, UBC). Works closely with VP of Partnerships and VP of Finance, as ultimate responsibility is to secure sponsorships.
